SMARTGEN participated as the BESS specialist partner in a 261 kWh commercial BESS project at Long Hau Extended Industrial Park, supporting system implementation, installation management, and operational preparation. SMARTGEN will continue to expand its C&I BESS business in Vietnam.
SMARTGEN has completed the implementation of a 261 kWh commercial Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Long Hau Extended Industrial Park in Vietnam, with the system now entering the operational phase.
The project was carried out through close cooperation between the project lead company and SMARTGEN as the BESS specialist partner, with the primary objectives of improving energy efficiency at the industrial facility and reducing peak electricity demand.
As the BESS specialist partner, SMARTGEN participated throughout the project, covering key BESS-related activities including system application review, on-site implementation, supervision and management of the installation and construction process, system integration, and preparation for operation.
Throughout the implementation, SMARTGEN supported the deployment of the BESS in accordance with the facility’s actual power consumption profile and operating conditions, with a focus on ensuring stable and effective system operation.
Following completion of the installation, actual operating data is being monitored and analyzed, including battery charging and discharging status, changes in facility load, system performance during peak tariff periods, and the resulting electricity cost savings.
This project represents an important C&I BESS reference for SMARTGEN in Vietnam, demonstrating its practical experience across the BESS implementation cycle—from application review and project implementation to installation management, system operation, and monitoring.
Building on the field experience and operational data obtained through this project, SMARTGEN plans to further expand its Commercial & Industrial BESS business for manufacturing companies and industrial facilities in Vietnam, while continuing to develop BESS operating strategies and energy cost optimization solutions tailored to each customer’s electricity consumption profile.
