On 22 July, MOIT met with Quang Ngai. The province reported 109 power-source projects for 2026-2030, including 13 solar projects totaling 800 MW, and asked to add roughly 1,500 MW of additional solar.
On 22 July 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a working session with Quang Ngai Province on energy projects in the area. In its 23 July article, MOIT said the province is focusing on 109 power-source projects for the 2026-2030 period, with total capacity of 2,720.75 MW.
Within that pipeline, Quang Ngai listed 75 small hydropower projects totaling 816.7 MW, 15 wind projects totaling 676.05 MW, 13 solar projects totaling 800 MW, one waste-to-energy project of 15 MW, three biomass projects totaling 43 MW, and one pumped-storage hydropower project of 300 MW.
The province also proposed adding about 1,500 MW of concentrated solar in border communes and updating the power plan with additional projects totaling about 4,986.06 MW in the future.
